Festival de cinéma de la ville de Québec
"Emotion in Motion"
Cossette
The identity of the Festival de Cinéma de la Ville de Québec had become increasingly tied to red carpet glamour rather than its film programming. “Emotion in Motion” reoriented the brand to celebrate cinema as an art form. The identity captured the fluidity and richness of film through its colour palette and typography, using layered textures and blurred edges to suggest focus shifts and depth of field – mimicking the filmmaking process itself. As a result, audience attendance increased by 30%, the festival’s budget grew by 25% thanks to four new major partners and the main theatre reached 83% occupancy. Instagram engagement also surged by 122%.
